Here at Fabric-World we now have a great range of Diamante Accessories that will give you the opportunity to add a bit of ‘bling’ to your outfit. Our Diamante products are perfect for this whether it be with Sew On Stones or Diamante Bra Accessories.
One of the most popular products from our range is the 4mm Shoulder Strap in a clear crystal. This is sold by the metre and can be used for creating stunning dress or top straps. Available in 5mm stones and an AB stone variant, this is the ideal product to add a bit of sparkle to your outfit without too much effort. For that extra bit of ‘bling’ we have a 4 row and 10 Row Diamante Trim which can be used to create a feature on a handbag or even made into a piece of jewellery. At 35mm wide, the 10 row Diamante trim would also make a perfect accessory on a waistband or belt.
Another popular range in our Diamante section is our Diamante Bra Accessories which can be used on dress and top straps as well as on the forementioned bras. With designs including hearts and flowers these can create extra detail on an item that is fairly plain. Our Round Diamante Buckles are also popular to make a feature of the waist on a dress or used in the centre of a bow on bridesmaids dresses.
When most people think of Diamante, many think of the name Swarovski. We also stock Swarovski Hot Fix Stones in a huge range of colours and a number of sizes. The Hot Fix Stones have an adhesive back on them that when heated up will activate and adhere the stones to fabric. You can create patterns and pictures using different size stones and can even put your name on t-shirts for special occasions. They are ideal for dance costumes, evening wear and bridal outfits and used with the Crystal Hot Fix Applicator are easy to apply and make a great impact.
If you are looking for a more simple yet effective diamante product our Sew On Stones are ideal. These come in both Sew On and Clip on and can be easily attached to fabric giving a stunning effect. In a packet of 144 stones, these are great value for money and would be brilliant for adding glamour to your outfit. For an extra bit of sparkle our Brilliant Cut Diamantes shine even more in the light and can make a dull plain garment into an Oscar worthy outfit!

One of the best Dressmaking Fabrics to work with can be Crepe. Crepe is a Dressmaking Fabric that is often used to create a wide range of different garments and looks. The Crepe Dressmaking Fabric that we have available here at Fabric-World is a high quality material that has a beautiful look and feel when used to create clothing. It is 100% polyester and comes over to us from Germany.
There is a great range of colours of this Dressmaking Fabric to choose from, all of which are very popular options! Our Crepe also comes in a width of 150cm meaning that it is an ideal Dressmaking Fabric to create beautiful garments. Crepe is a Dressmaking Fabric that has weight yet still flows and drapes extremely well making it a great choice of Dressmaking Fabric for garments such as dresses and skirts.
Crepe is a Dressmaking Fabric that can be incorporated into garments all year round and dresses and skirts that are often created from it are slightly heavier than other Dressmaking Fabrics. As well as being great for skirts and dresses, Crepe Dressmaking Fabrics are also great for creating items such as lighter jackets and shawls.
Another variation of our Crepe Dressmaking Fabric is Satin Back Crepe. This is a Dressmaking Fabric with one side being a shiny and luxurious Satin, the other side being a matte Crepe. This is a fantastic Dressmaking Fabric to achieve a wide variety of results, and it is often used as a Dressmaking Fabric for dresses for formal occasions such as weddings and proms.

Today I would like to look at some of the uses of Haberdashery in a slightly different way. Here at Fabric-World we have several Haberdashery options that can be used for decorational purposes, and I would like to talk about how they can be used and incorporated into your projects….
One of the first Haberdashery items that is often used for decoration is Feathers. Feathers can be used in a variety of ways whether they are attached to costumes, or even used as ornate table decorations and such items. There is a huge selection of different types of Feathers in our Haberdashery section, each one coming in a unique range of styles and colours to suit all tastes!
Another one of the most popular Haberdashery items that we sell here at Fabric-World is Organza. For the purpose of ornamentation, Organza is a Haberdashery product that not only comes in a wider width, but also as a Snow Sheer variation on a roll with a widthof 29cm. This makes Organza the perfect Haberdashery item to use for special occasion such as weddings, and is often used to decorate interior furnshings such as tables and chairs.
Lastly today I would like to mention another one of our most popular Haberdashery items which is Lace. Lace is a great way to use Haberdashery to add the perfect finish to a variety of projects, including Dressmaking, Crafts and has even been used to decorate cakes!!

Viscose Jersey – One of our latest Dressmaking Fabrics, this is a super soft Jersey material that really is ideal for Dressmaking. It comes in a width pf 150cm and has a 4-way stretch, guaranteeing you comfort!! This Dressmaking Fabric is now available in several brand new shades taking our range of colours to 12 stunning options!!
Cotton Jersey – This Dressmaking Fabric is 100% cotton and is a standard t-shirt weight. It comes in a brilliant width of 160cm and in a huge variety of colours. This is the perfect Dressmaking Fabric for creating garments such as t-shirts or even lighter weight cardigans which are the ideal weight during the summer months.
Double Knit Jersey – This Dressmaking Fabric is our heaviest Jersey Fabric and is perfect as we enter the autumn and winter months. Coming in a width of 150cm, it is a polyester/viscose/spandex mix, making it ideal for comfortable clothing. We have found this Dressmaking Fabric to be ideal for garment ssuch as jumpers cardigans or even accessories such as scarves!! It has several colour options including Black, Purple and Grey Marl.

Here at Fabric-World we have a vast range of Buttons and Fasteners which can be incorporated into your dressmaking, crafts or to repair existing clothing, furnishings or even camping and sports equipment. Our range of fasteners are made by top manufacturers ‘Prym’ and are brilliant quality! Depending on what you are using your fasteners for, there are so many in the range in a selection of finishes and sizes.
The main difference between the fasteners is that there are cap fasteners which means they will totally cover the fabric and the ring fasteners which affix to your fabric and you can see it through the middle of the ring. The fasteners come in either nickel and black.
The most popular choice is the Jersey Fasteners which come in a choice of different widths. They can be used on any sorts of dressmaking or can be used on duvets or cushions etc. If you are looking for a more specialized fastener. The Sport & Camping Press Fasteners are made from brass and are rustproof and will be slightly more heavy duty than the others.
You will need the applicator tool to affix them to your material. However, we do offer refills if you are continuously purchasing them as the applicator tool will work for all of the different fasteners!
