Felt and Self Adhesive Felt

Felt is one of the most popular fabrics that we sell here at Fabric-World. It has many uses as a craft fabric as well as in dressmaking. We a large range of colours that are available for you to choose from, and all of these are of the highest quality felt fabric. Felt fabric is created by condesing woollen fibres together to create this non-woven cloth. The felt that we stock here at Fabric-World has a mixed composition of wool and viscose and comes in a width of 180cm.

One common use of our felt fabric is for with musical instruments. It is often used with louder percussion instruments such as drums to dampen the sound. Felt is also used within pianos as part of the movement mechanism to control the noise of the keys and give the perfect tone when playing!

Felt fabric is most often used in dressmaking when warmth is required such as within winter clothing. It also wears extremely well so it is often a choice of fabric when creating items that require more strength such as jackets and hats. Felt is also often used as an extra fabric in the making of handbags and many other accessories.Our felt fabric is also very often used as a choice of fabric when working on craft projects.

We also stock a self adhesive felt which comes in width of 90cm and is the same fabric as our normal felt. It is ideal if you are after a felt that is convenient to work with, without spray adhesive or some other form of glue. As with the normal felt fabric, the self adhesive felt is available in a wide range of colours, and all of these can be viewed on the website.

Both our ordinary range of felt fabric and self adhesive felt have a wide range of uses for many of your projects, ranging from lining cabinets to being used on notice boards. In the self adhesive felt range, when ordering in bulk (60 metres and more), we can then offer you a full range of over 40 different colours!
